This famous sentence from Dante seems to be made on purpose to describe what Daniele and Elisa were confronted by when they came here a few years ago: a place that had been abandoned and forgotten since the beginning of the last century, a place where vegetation got the upper hand over the few ruins of an ancient mill of the 15 th century, situated right in the middle of a medieval lane between Lecchi and Gaiole in Chianti.
The two young people were stunned by the beauty around them and decided to buy the place.
